the auction house is nice, it means we can have an auction in-game as oppose to having to check the forums for the good stuff. the training hall is great for noobs. the increase of ce in crafting and binding 4* and 5*, on the other hand, is stupid. ce buyers would most likely have to grind for a 5* equip now that they cant buy 4* -5* anymore.

Re: REACTIONS....
I agree with Kam, everythings nice, except the energy costs.... seems to me like they hurt themselves, less people will spend $$ on CE now cuz they cant just buy 4-5* gear anymore...

Re: REACTIONS....
Well I never really saw that spiral knights needed a training all most of that stuff should be covered in the tutorial level and its not like you can't figure out what ghost blocks or tnt blocks are right? Maybe its cuz I played the game for longer then a week but it kinda seems like a dumb idea.
I think the auction house should have a CE bid/buy option.
I like the idea that now people have to work to get powerful items but I don't think the developers used the right approach. If they wanted to bind powerful items to you from the get go they should have lowered the price for crafting. At least it would have been fair. The price for crafting a 5* item is 800 buying the CE from OOO directly is gunna be $2.25 American. BUT from an accounting perspective you have to count the CE you spent on runs to get said items or if you bought the items in which you acquired in crown (which you also get doing runs). Depending on your luck is probable an additional 200-800 CE. AND to completely outfit yourself in 5* items at a best case scenario is 5k CE (helm, armor, sword, gun, shield) pushing the total in real world money to 18.75 american O.o;; and thats not counting the CE needed to level the 4* items to heat level 10... all in all it was a bad idea to do this

I don't really like the auction house at all. That is, I think having one is a good idea, but I don't like the way they set it up. The listing fee isn't refunded if the item doesn't sell, which means you're likely to post items at bids equal to or lower than any of the other listed items of the same type or risk losing cash on an already slim profit margin. This leads to a spiral of people posting lower and lower auctions. End result: Sell super-cheap or risk losing money. When auctioning materials, this can really negate any profit you might be attempting to make.
Another issue is that you're more likely to want to post long (1 day) auctions to ensure a sale actually takes place and you get the listing fee back. This cost more crowns to list than a short action.
If anything I've said is incorrect, let me know.

I think that this update can be used to our advantage. I've made a few T3 Basil runs for recipes and I am making hand over fist at the auction house with 4* and 5* recipes. My profit margins are much higher than doing jelly runs, it just requires patience. The energy cost on weapons is miserable, but it's something that for now at least we can still work around.
