I love spiral knights and started playing again about month ago and now I am fully addicted

No real risks involved, we work with lineair accelerators. We are not in the same room when its on and delivering treatment and it doesnt leave any residue or anything.
We do work in a sort of bunkers but its all safe and sound

Yay, thanks! Was fun doing it with the guild.

Now the real gearing project begins it seems...

Guns:

1. Blitz Needle
2. Polaris
3. Argent Peacemaker

Swords:

1. Argent Defender / Combuster (Because I have both 4* already)
2. Barbarous Thorn Blade
3. Acheron (It looks so cool)

Shields:

1. Grey Owlite Shield
2. Crest of Almire (More for fun)

I havent looked into other armor yet since i just aquired Vog.

So much to do and so little time

In terms of armor, you could try out the Divine set which offers Shadow + Elemental defense (great for FSC). The helmet grants a medium damage bonus against Fiends.

The choice really depends on if you want to be a gunner, bomber or sworder (is that how you say it? ), because the different armor types have offer different class bonuses.

I am currently a Gunner, but I wasn't always a gunner. I started being a sword-gun hybrid, and used my sword often. Then I started using 2 swords at a time, but then found out that I took a lot more damage. That's why I'm a gunner now, and I've been taking a lot less damage.

Here are some recommendation for armor sets:

Sworder:
- Vog/Snarby Set - Vog grants you an Attack Speed Increase, and the Snarby set grants a Damage Bonus.

Gunner:
- PMOS (Perfect Mask of Seerus) + Shadowsun Slicker/Deadshot Mantle - PMOS grants an ASI and CTR, the Shadowsun offers a Medium Damage Bonus, and the Deadshot has an ASI and a Damage Bonus vs. the Undead.

Bomber:
- Mercurial Demo Set offers a Speed Increase and Damage Bonus, and has a very high fire resistance, which is excellent for FSC. You could also try out the Volcanic Demo Set, which gives a high CTM

professional-eye-stabber is a good term.

also, CHAOS SET + swiftstrike(or any old boring shield for bombers)! paired with a damage(sword/gun/bomb) + IAS(health if bomb) trinket! then BAM! glass cannon! that set would net you Maximum Strength! Maximum(OK, ultra) Agility! Maximum CTR!

I'm deffo not a bomber, gunning is nice but i do like the swing of a sword.

As for my armor I just maxed my Vog set wich is ok for now. Combined it with CTR and DMG trinket so i middle out the stats a bit.
Now onto my 5* swords and blitz!

BTW, you can postpone your Blitz and rock FSC with just a strike alone. Go with a chaos cloak/hood, then a lvl10 strike needle. I'd recommend you maxing out your sword first. Since the 95% of the whole vana trip consists of slags, puppies, and trojans.

Going to try to get my combuster today and look for a DA recipe on the long run.
Trying to get a GOS but still on the 4* atm.

I do have the swift with ele max but as i browsed the AH yesterday it seems the price for that one is off the charts...
That could yield me enough CE/CR for a long time...
I'll start leveling a chaos set and save up for an IAS trinket.
