Okay, so Cael asked me to post this.

For people who hates reading long chunk of text, hit up Ctrl + F on your keyboard and search for "Conclusion". Or, just scroll down till you see red.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically, some of us were debating about how lucrative a Jelly King (JK) run is.
These are my findings, which may or may not become useless in two days time when the JK gate shuffles.

For the purpose of this experiment, I ran a full 4-man team from depth 8, opened no treasure rooms nor any danger rooms. Crowns noted are not inclusive of any minerals/materials/tokens.

Depth : Crowns

09 | 257
10 | 232
11 | 482
12 | 503
13 | BASIL
14 | 2,048
15-17 | 4,212

Pointers to note:
1) Depth 17 (JK) does not give much crowns. I'd estimate it at less than 150 crowns.
2) Depth 14 (Arena) CAN BE TOUGH if you are not 4* geared or have a good understanding of the monsters' attack patterns.
3) In this run, I've gotten a Grim Spark and a Primal Spark token from depth 9-13. (Still not worth doing)
4) Roronos, who went on a seperate run from me at the same time, said he'd gotten "About 2k"
5) Depth 9-13 takes up 40 Energy in total (CE/ME)

Analysis:
Let's be prudent and assume CE at 5,000 crowns per 100.
In each depth, we're technically spending 500 crowns for the 'entrance fee'.

Depth 9-13 amounted to 1,474 crowns in total, rounding it up and adding minerals, let's assume it'll total up to 1,700.
However, the 40 CE spent sets us back by 2,000 crowns. The result is a net loss of 300 crowns, and about 20 minutes of your life. The plus side, you've gain experience, but that's besides the point. I'd also like to note that depth 9-13 did not give me the swirling animation at all for heat gain, whereas it appears for depth 14-16.

Total crowns gained amounted to 7,734, total 'entrance fee' spent is 4,000 crowns.
Net amount earned is 3,734Cr.
This is the net result of a 526Cr loss from depth 9-13 & a 4,260 gain from depth 14-17.

On top of this, there is a 700 crowns gained from depth 18, as represented by the Jelly Tokens. Since JK drops at least 3 tokens, it'll take a maximum of 5 runs to get 15 tokens.
15 tokens is eligible for Jelly gears, which can sell for 3,500 crowns to the vendor/np
One run (3 tokens) is therefore worth, 700 crowns.

Conclusion:
The current best option is to:
1) Solo depth 9-13
2) At basil, wait for arena
3) Head down to arena and invite 3 others
4) Have them to either pay you 200Cr each; give you a hug; or bow to you and give gratitude.
( Or do all three ! )
5) Enjoy eating tasty jellies. (Do avoid the explosive ones though)

Win-win situation for all :3

Suggestion:

i) Get an alternate account, hold down the arrow keys/right click with an object (thanks Zeka), and leave him at basil/arena.
ii) Invite a member interested in running JK.
iii) That member hits F6 > Party Options > Go Solo
iv) That member invites 3 other interested parties.
v) Eat tasty jellies.
vi) Rinse, and repeat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disclaimer:
Although accurate, this should only be used as a guideline. Actual crowns gain varies in proportion to your luck. Joining arena in depth 14 is highly dangerous and lethal if you're not at least 4*geared. This is especially true since you're starting without vials, pills or vitapods.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry if my first post seems lengthy :3 Thank you for taking your time to read it, I hope someone who has two computers will be inspired and leaves his/her alt in depth 14. If I made any mistakes, please reply and I'll amend it.

Any comments, suggestions, feedback, criticism or free cookies are welcome too!

Okay, you're also taking all the blame if people refuses to run JK depth 9-13 from now on !

Aaaand the future will be bleak with all of us sitting in GH, poking each other and waiting for a savior to do the run :3

Incidentally, if you have completed Tier 1 of that gate, you are no longer charged the crowns fee. This goes for any tier/previous tier of any gate. Very Happy

Also, while it's tangental to this guide (which deals mostly with crown gain), it's worthy of noting that repeating the jelly levels over and over will net you a lot of crowns/heat, but you will miss out on the opportunity to get materials that don't drop from the slime/lumbar/puppy family. Prioritize accordingly!
