[Important] Guild Mission: Slime Strat has failed :(

EDIT: The Slime Strat is now officially a failure. Although a valiant effort was put up, our Valestone and Luminite was no match for the Auto-Sellers and their Dark Matter. Really makes you feels insignificant, doesn't it? The strat will instead be Fiend, which is nowhere near as good.

This has lent us some perspective on how hard it is to make use of the gate construction system. Really making a difference would require a behemothic effort most likely involving several large guilds. One wonders if OOO should perhaps fine-tune some aspects of the system to make its use more feasible?

That said, there will be a next time. Until then: don't be one of the auto-sheeple; save your crystals until the time comes when they can be used for a greater cause.

In two or so days, the old Jelly King gate (the green horse one) will be replaced by the Amber Sun Gate. Until then, some higher-ups (well, just Cael, really) have decided that this guild is gonna try it's hardest to create a Slime stratum in the 9-12 depth portion (the part before Royal Jelly Palace) of the aforementioned gate. Why?

1. Slime is a great stratum in terms of heat and crowns.
2. It’s convenient when choosing gear to know you’ll mostly be facing slimes the whole run.
3. It’s fun to make a difference.

For those that go uninformed, this means we want as many as possible to stop using Auto-Sell and start dumping a lot of (and nothing other than) Luminite (yellow crystal) and Valestone (green crystal) on the 9-12 depth portion of the gate with a sun on it. Prioritize green and yellow crystals on your runs, and try to inform others. It’s not just us who'll benefit from this, obviously.

EDIT: There is one further thing that I feel is worth a mention. Crimsonite (red crystal) is the Anti-Slime crystal. This means that if red crystal gets the third highest count after yellow and green, then the Slime Stratum is negated, and we would fail. For this reason save up on the remaining two crystals (purple and blue), but do not use them. If red crystal ever takes third place, we would need blue or purple to take it's place, so a reserve of these two becomes an "insurance" against this.

Of course, this is all secondary. Collecting green and yellow is the main objective.

I've been trying to spread word, and exclusively taking yellow or green ore. Thus far that strata is strongly in the lead for Slime, but that could change as soon as people start autoselling to it.

yellows and greens are around 3000 now, compare to the other minerals which has around 400-600

Well yellow and green are still quite far ahead, but the other colours are catching up now that it has entered into Autosell territory.


They really need to just remove Autosell.

Damn. Undead would've been mildly profitable. Fiend is one of the worse stratas in terms of crowns/heat.

Just keep saving up those yellows and veggies, because we have another problem. Apparently, someone/some guild has been dumping reds and yellows on the new JK gate (onyx falcon). This will result in creating another fire strata(again). So be sure to save all your minerals (regardless of colour, but yellows and veggies are still a priority) so that we can counter the red mineral deposits whenever people start to autosell on the onyx falcon gate.

Problem is the JK gates are pretty much fought over. Those first four levels in the 3rd Stratum are.. eh.

I've honestly noticed you get way more crowns after Basil then before, but I'm not entirely sure on the ratios. Stupid Fiends.
